Most candles are made using paraffin wax. Paraffin is a byproduct of the processing of petroleum which is non-renewable.
Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. They are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes from which the oil is extracted. The leftover bean husks are commonly used as animal feed.
Although some soy candles are blended with paraffin, ours are 100% soy.
As soy is grown mostly outside of Europe we are currently performing tests on a soy + rapeseed blend.
A simple guide to keep you safe:
Never leave a candle unattended
Place candles on a protected surface, plate or tray
Keep candles away from flammable objects
Keep candles out of reach of children and pets
Don't drop matches into the wax
Never handle candles or candle containers that are in use
Keep candles away from heat sources
How to make your candle last longer:
Trim wicks to 3mm before burning + remove any excess
